Nurglings

The Nurglings are the giggling, capering little imps of Nurgle, tiny daemons that swarm forth in squabbling multitudes to spread their grandfather's gifts with gleeful abandon. Each is a miniature echo of the Great Unclean One, a pot-bellied, pustulent creature grinning through rotten teeth, and they cluster together in heaving piles that clamber over one another in their eagerness to reach the foe. Individually they are no great threat, but a swarm of Nurglings is another matter, engulfing warriors in a tide of biting, clawing, disease-ridden bodies that drag men down by sheer weight of squirming numbers. They are absurd and horrible in equal measure, chortling and tumbling even as they die, only to pop back into being wherever their patron's attention lingers. Nurglings infest the daemonic host as vermin infest a corpse, delighting in filth, spreading contagion, and finding endless childish joy in the misery they inflict.
