Defiler

The Defiler is a monstrous daemon-engine, a spider-like war machine of the damned that skitters across the battlefield on six clawed legs. Wrought in the forges of hell and bound with a captive warp entity, it is a thing of malice given iron form, its hull spilling smoke and its many limbs ending in scything talons and roaring weaponry.

Unlike a mere vehicle, the Defiler possesses a savage, animal cunning born of the daemon caged within its chassis. It hurls battle cannon shells across the field before dragging itself into the fray, tearing apart tanks and fortifications with its crushing claws. The soul-bound spirit chafes forever against its metal prison, venting its rage upon everything that crosses its path.

Deployed by the war-hosts of the Chaos Space Marines, Defilers are wrought when Warpsmiths and dark artisans marry infernal machinery to a bound daemon. They are equally at home shelling the enemy from afar or wading into close combat, a versatile engine of destruction that embodies the union of Chaos and the machine.
