The Armour of Russ

The Armour of Russ is a hallowed suit of power armour borne by the Space Wolves, named in honour of Leman Russ, the Wolf King who led the Sons of Fenris through the Great Crusade before vanishing into legend. To wear it is to carry a fragment of the Primarch's own defiance into battle, a bulwark against the treacheries the Chapter hates above all others.

Wrought in the traditions of the Space Marines of the Space Wolves, the armour is warded against the foul sorceries wielded by the Chapter's ancient enemies, the traitor psykers of the Chaos Space Marines. Where lesser warriors might be laid low by witchery, the bearer of the Armour of Russ strides on unbowed, the malice of the warp guttering out against its wards.

Only the mightiest Wolf Lords are counted worthy to don so storied a relic, for it carries the expectation of deeds fit to honour the Wolf King's name. Beneath its weathered plate, a warrior of Fenris feels the weight of the sagas upon them, and fights with the ferocity of the great Primarch whose name they bear into the teeth of the enemy.
