The Vigil Spear

The Vigil Spear is a guardian spear of ancient renown among the Ten Thousand, its name a reminder of the ceaseless watch the Adeptus Custodes keep over the Golden Throne. A masterwork of auramite and adamantine, it unites a monomolecular blade with an integral bolt-caster, so that its bearer may slay at range and in the press of battle without ever changing his grip.

Forged by the artisans of the Adeptus Custodes, the spear is a work of terrible beauty, every surface graven with the marks of the Emperor's chosen guardians. In the hands of a Custodian it becomes an extension of will and duty, wielded with a swordsmanship honed across centuries of solitary vigil within the Imperial Palace.
