The Legion Predator was a common enough sight across the war-torn galaxy, and the Alpha Legion turned that very ubiquity to their advantage. A Predator in unremarkable colours attracted no special notice, and the XX exploited this to conceal the weight and direction of their armour until the trap was already sprung, massing tanks a foe believed to be scattered, or painting a lone vehicle in the markings of an enemy formation to sow confusion at the worst possible moment. In battle the Predator served the Alpha Legion as it served any other, its autocannon and lascannon grinding down infantry and armour alike, but the XX layered deception atop firepower until an enemy could never be sure how many tanks he truly faced or where the next would appear. It was a weapon that fought as much against a foe's certainty as against his flesh, and few Legions wielded that double edge with such patient, ruinous skill.
