Coronus Grav-carrier

For all their peerless might, even the Adeptus Custodes must sometimes cross a killing ground swept by fire too intense to weather on foot, and for such moments there is the Coronus. A grav-vehicle of the same exquisite make as the Caladius, it is given over to the carriage of warriors rather than the massing of guns, a swift and heavily protected transport built to bear the Emperor's chosen into the very jaws of the enemy.

The Coronus is wrought to keep its passengers safe amid horrors that would annihilate a lesser conveyance. Layered voidsheen armour and potent energy shielding turn aside all but the mightiest blows, so that the Custodians or Silent Sisters within emerge unscathed into the fray, ready to bring their strength to bear at the decisive point. Gliding upon anti-gravitic fields, it can cross terrain that would mire any tracked transport, delivering its charges with the speed the Ten Thousand prize above caution.

Nor is the Coronus toothless while it runs its perilous errands. It mounts the twin arachnus blaze cannon, whose paired energy beams clear a path through the enemy and punish any who draw too near, so that even in the act of delivering its passengers it deals death. Wherever the fighting is fiercest, the Coronus may be seen driving through the storm, a bastion of living gold carrying the Emperor's wrath to the foe.
