Librarian

A Deathwatch Librarian brings the psychic might of his parent Chapter to the Ordo Xenos's endless war, a warrior-scholar whose mind is as deadly as any bolter or blade. Seconded to the Deathwatch for his rare gifts, he turns his powers against foes uniquely suited to defy them, the hive-minded swarms whose shared consciousness he must pierce, the crystalline killers whose thoughts run cold and utterly alien, the void-horrors that gnaw at a warrior's sanity. In battle he wields telekinetic force and searing psychic fire, shattering alien constructs and hurling monstrous beasts aside, yet his greatest value often lies in defence, for a skilled Librarian can smother the powers of an enemy witch and shield his kill team from energies that would boil the blood in their veins. His knowledge, too, is a weapon. Having studied the lore of a hundred hostile species, he can name a xenos horror's one weakness in the instant before it strikes.
