Legion Destroyer Squad

There were duties the wider Imperium preferred not to name, and it was to the Legion Destroyer Squad that the Raven Guard turned when such grim work fell to them. Armed with rad-weapons, phosphex bombs, and other proscribed munitions whose use tainted a warrior's honour as surely as the ground they poisoned, Destroyers were unleashed to deny an enemy something he could not be permitted to keep, an armoury, a manufactory, a vital muster-point. The XIX, whose raids so often turned on cutting away the roots of an enemy's strength, found dark use for warriors willing to bear such stigma, and they deployed them with the same surgical calculation they brought to every strike. Wreathed in the corrosive residue of their own weapons, the Destroyers advanced where nothing was meant to survive, salting the earth behind a withdrawing raid so that a foe who had lost the battle would gain nothing from the ruins the Raven Guard left him.
