Armand Callis

Armand Callis began as an ordinary soldier of the free city of Excelsis, a Freeguild man with a good sword-arm and no particular ambition, until the day his path crossed that of the witch hunter Hanniver Toll. What followed made Callis something the free peoples rarely produce: a common man drawn into the secret war against Chaos and corruption, and equal to it.

Where Toll brings the cold zeal of the Order of Azyr, Callis brings the grounded decency of the soldier, a conscience that keeps their crusade human and a courage that does not require faith to sustain it. Among the Cities of Sigmar he is proof that heroism is not the sole property of the reforged or the highborn, but can be found in any dogged man who refuses to look away from evil. Callis has faced cultists, daemons, and the rotting schemes of tyrants with little more than his wits and his blade, and survived by being exactly what he appears to be: loyal, stubborn, and unwilling to abandon a friend, even into the dark places where friends are usually lost.
