Ulfenkarn, the Cursed City

Once known as the golden port of Mournhold, Ulfenkarn is a rotting metropolis in the Realm of Death, choked in perpetual gloom and ruled by the vampire Radukar the Wolf. When the necromantic tides of Shyish rose, the city's proud walls became a prison, its gates sealed and its living populace herded like cattle to feed the undying aristocracy that festers within.

The streets are patrolled by wolfen deadwalkers and the thralls of the soulblight-gravelords, while the terrified survivors barricade themselves against the endless night. Hope arrives only in whispers, carried by a handful of monster-hunters who slip through the fog to sever the vampire's grip on the city.

Ulfenkarn stands as a grim monument to the Age of Death, a reminder that even the wealthiest bastions of mortalkind can be swallowed whole by the hungering dark. Its very stones seem to weep with the misery of those trapped beneath its blackened spires.
