Infernal Guard

The Infernal Guard are the standing soldiery of the Chaos Dwarf empire, warriors who have sworn a terrible oath before the altar of Hashut and burned away their own names in the sacred fire to seal it. Masked in blackened iron and clad head to foot in soot-dark armour, they show no faces and speak no words in the line, and their silence in battle is a thing that unnerves even hardened foes.

They fight with the grim, unbreakable discipline that faith and dread instil in equal measure. Where the empire's hobgoblin fodder wavers and flees, the Infernal Guard hold, advancing in perfect ranks behind shield and blade or laying down disciplined volleys from fire-glaive and pistol. Each has surrendered his very identity to the god and expects nothing from life but a soldier's death in Hashut's service. That certainty makes them fearless, methodical, and utterly without mercy: the iron core around which every Chaos Dwarf army is built.
