Ice Guard

The Ice Guard are the martial servants of the Ice Court, elite soldiers hand-picked to fight alongside the ice-witches and blessed with a measure of their frozen power. Where the witches wield magic openly, the Ice Guard carry it into the press of battle: their blades and arrows are wreathed in enchanted frost, a biting cold that numbs flesh, slows the blood, and cracks armour made brittle by the chill. Clad in white and pale blue, moving with the silent discipline of those trained under a witch-queen's exacting eye, they are among the most feared foot-soldiers of the north. Some bear long glaives sheathed in rime; others carry bows whose every shaft strikes home trailing a wake of frost. They serve as bodyguards to the Ice Maidens and as shock troops where the fighting is hardest, a living proof that the cold of Kislev is not merely weather to be endured but a weapon to be turned upon the foe.
