The Cult of the Pauper Princes was born in the coastal slums of Chancer's Vale, among the destitute and the forgotten, and it has never shed the character of those desperate beginnings. Its members are fanatics of a peculiarly humble stripe, believing that true greatness is found not in dominion but in self-sacrifice, and that only through humility and suffering will they be lifted up when their alien gods, the Star Children, at last descend from the void.
This creed of holy poverty lends the brood a zeal that shades into mania. Its cultists give everything and hold back nothing, convinced that the annihilation of the old order is the necessary price of the paradise to come. They would see the whole towering edifice of the Imperium brought crashing down, and would spend every last life among their number to achieve it, save only that of their sacred messiah, the Patriarch they revere as the Star Saviour, whose survival is the one treasure they hold above their own.
Such devotion has made the Pauper Princes one of the largest and most dangerous cults in the galaxy, their tendrils reaching across more than fifteen worlds and their membership numbering in the billions. When the brood rises, it does so with the ferocity of true believers who welcome death as a blessing, hurling themselves upon the enemy with a fervour that no terror can blunt and no slaughter can ever sate.

Masters of the running fight, they descend upon isolated settlements and Imperial columns in choking clouds of dust, then vanish back into the wilderness before any counterattack can be mustered.
The Twisted HelixThe Twisted Helix is a creed obsessed with the mysteries of its own corrupted flesh, a brood that reveres the gene-craft flowing through its veins and seeks to accelerate it. Where other cults conceal their mutation, the Twisted Helix embraces and refines it, breeding warriors of monstrous strength and unnatural resilience. Their laboratories and hidden vats produce brutes and horrors, and their uprisings unleash aberrant hybrids of terrifying power.
