Culexus Assassin

The Culexus Temple draws its Assassins from the rarest of Untouchables, souls so absent that their proximity is physically and mentally agonising to all around them. To gaze upon a Culexus is to feel a wrongness that cannot be named, a hole in reality wearing the shape of a person.

This anti-psychic nature is the Culexus's deadliest weapon. In its presence, psykers find their gifts failing, their powers guttering like flames in a vacuum. Daemons, creatures born of the Warp, recoil and weaken, their connection to the Empyrean severed. The Culexus wields specialised wargear that harnesses the psychic anguish of those nearby, converting the very souls around it into bolts of soul-searing force.

Upon the battlefield, the Culexus is a bane to every enemy that draws upon the powers of the mind. It stalks sorcerers, witches, and Warp-spawn, dampening their abilities and then annihilating them. Alien and unsettling even to its allies, the Culexus is a necessary horror, the answer the Imperium raises against threats no ordinary weapon can touch.
