Ironguts

Ironguts are the elite of the Gutbusters: hulking veterans clad in the finest scavenged plate the tribe owns, swinging two-handed blades and hammers that most humans could not lift off the ground. Where the Gluttons are the flood, the Ironguts are the battering ram: the fist a Tyrant drives into the hardest point of the enemy line, trusting it to come out the other side.

Their privilege is written into ogor law: after the Tyrant, the Ironguts eat first, and they pay for the honour by standing wherever the killing is thickest. Every Irongut nurses quiet ambitions about the big chair, and every Tyrant knows it, which is why a wise ruler keeps his finest warriors close, well fed, and pointed very firmly at somebody else.
