Frost Sabres

Frost Sabres are sleek, ice-furred predators native to the coldest reaches of the Mortal Realms, prowling ahead of the alfrostuns as living hounds of the everwinter. Kept and hunted with by the Icebrow Hunters of the Ogor Mawtribes, these great cats stalk in coordinated packs, their freezing breath and hooked claws dragging down prey many times their size. What makes them truly unnerving is their silence: they pad across snow and bare stone without a sound, and the first a sentry knows of them is a flash of white fur and the cold bite of fangs at the throat. In battle they are loosed as forward hunters, running down fleeing enemies, savaging war-beasts and screening the slower ogor bulk that lumbers behind. A frost sabre feels no loyalty, only the pull of the hunt and the promise of warm meat at the end of it, which is precisely why the ogors understand the creatures so completely.
