Cretacia

Cretacia is a death world of the most lethal kind, a primordial hell of steaming jungles and vast, roaring beasts where every plant and creature is a killer and survival is measured in heartbeats. Its continents seethe with saurian monsters and carnivorous flora, and its tribal peoples are hardened by a life of ceaseless struggle into some of the most ferocious warriors humanity has ever produced.

From these brutal stock the Space Marines of the Flesh Tearers draw their recruits, and it is no accident that so violent a Chapter should spring from so violent a world. The savagery of Cretacia is written into its sons before they ever don power armour, an innate ferocity that makes them peerless in the slaughter yet ever teeters on the edge of the madness that haunts their bloodline.

Cretacia offers no gentleness and no mercy. Its children learn to kill before they learn to speak, and those the Chapter does not claim live and die amid the endless carnage of their world's food-chain. To the Flesh Tearers, this crucible is a source of grim pride, for it forges warriors of terrible resolve. Yet Cretacia is also a place of danger to its own guardians, a world whose relentless brutality mirrors the black rage that gnaws forever at the souls of those it sends to war.
