Kroxigor

Kroxigor are the great labourers of the temple-cities, colossal crocodilian kin of the saurus who haul megalithic stones into place with a patience that has outlasted empires. War hardly changes the job description. Swinging mauls of stone and celestite that few living things could lift, a kroxigor crew converts shield-walls into rubble the way it once converted quarries into pyramids.

Slow of speech and bottomless of loyalty, each kroxigor imprints upon the skinks spawned beside it and guards them with a devotion nothing in the realms can bribe or frighten away. Skink overseers direct their giants with whistles and hand-signs, and enemies who scatter the little crew discover the terrible corollary: a kroxigor with nothing left to protect has nothing left to hold it back.
